I know it's completely off-topic, but I'm jealous of the fact that your steering wheel's leather appears to be in excellent condition. My Q's wheel looks like something a rabid dog buried in a backyard and was lost for 300 years before being excavated by archaeologists.

Sucks to hear about the break-in. That kind of thing makes me more angry than I can express. And for a factory 90s headunit to boot...WTF were they thinking?!

If your climate controller is still working, and the LEDs light up on the recirc. and defrost buttons when you press them, then it's probably the typical failure. I would check the wiring to the controller and if it's OK, check out my thread here -> zerothread?id=449899

Seriously, im sorry to hear this really.. But are you sure they were not after something else? Laptop, wallet? Money ? Otherwise, those had to be some 9 yr olds. cause i dont know anyone who would steal something ive thrown away 2wice. Seriously, ive thrown both of mine away.. And if i had another. Id throw that one away too.. Invest in an aftermarket alarm with a pager, and a good ol Taurus .40 YOU CANT GO WRONG THERE!!!
