stupid rear defroster !

so um... i noticed they were disconnected when i first bought the car, didnt think too much of it. then i looked closer, and then theres not much black around... like that black stippy thing. looks like it peeled off. i connected them this morning and turned on the rear defroster, after about 5 minutes i started hearing some light popping noise... so i turned it off. anyways, how do i fix this ? anybody know ?

that sound is usualy the sound i hear if you overheat a circut board. there is probobly a short to ground somewere, recheck the wiring

ahh... that explains the sound. how important is the rear defroster ?... haha, i dont think i want to replace the window back there. ill check wiring when im done with finals

check the resistance with a multimeter across the window. hook one test lead to one connection and the other lead to the other side and make sure its not like 0 or somthing. ill get the old fsm out and check the exact specs in a little bit

the rear defroster probobly isnt all that important were you are

is there some kind of repair kit i can get somewhere ?... i wonder if someone wants to sell their rear window to make it easier for me

what is the resistance, you can get some silver conductive paint stuff from nissan to repair it.
