stupid radio volume...anyone have a fix for this?

So you know how the Nissan radios have "speed sense volume" and it lowers when you brake...i turned mine off...but my 07 sentra has this equalization thing that turns the music down automatically when the bass gets too loud or something, I guess its just a mechanism to keep your speakers from bursting? How do you get around this/turn it off? ARGH!
