i have a internal wastegate opens at 12 psi. how can i lower it down to 4~7 psi? (for the best $$$)

what do you have to regulate the boost... just the waste gate or do you have a bost controller... if there is no boost controller you have to get a new spring for the wastegate... there is a spring in the wastegate the keeps the wastegate closed until the given boost pressure.... just get a 7 psi spring and you get 7 psi but 14 would be more fun.....

do you know any good web site to buy spring? i don't trust those ebay spring sells for like 150 bucks. no HKS. This setup is just for temporaty until i get my new injector... still 4 psi will give me like 30 extra hp. i'll be happy with that until new injectors come

as long as my stock ka-e injector can support. i think 7 psi spring will work fine too.

buy a manual boost controller off ebay if it's temporary

you cannot meake it open at a lower boost than the spring setting. You can only use boost controllers to up the boost from the physical setting not lower it. The only thing I can think you could do short of buying an adjustable actuator with a threded end is stack a few washers under the flange that the actuator bolts to the compressor housing with to move it closer to the rear of the turbo. This will allow the swingvalve to open up earlier at the same spring position.

then what's gonna happen if i just OPEN the wastegate. don't connect with actuator, just open it fully. then my car won't move because of lag?

when you say open I'm thinking its really closed, If you just disconnect it boost will never stop building. If it is open all the time the car will move just never build boost.Peace,Pat

are you saying just remove the acuator arm or the vacum line to the wastegate??????

so boost will not build, basically running like 0 psi. (or lower)but the car will still run safely right? i hope.

another concern is that since compressor will not spin because OPENED wastegate, there'll be lag no matter what. even at the highway driving. I think.

there will be no lag becouse there will be no boost... your car will just be a slow turd with no boost
