So I know I have a transmission leak where the drive shaft goes into the transmission. I noticed it has gotten worse and I'm going to take in tomorrow to get the seal replaced, but I was wondering, how/where do I check the transmission fluid level? I looked all over and didn't see a dipstick. Is this one of those things where I have to take a bolt out and stick my finger in? I even looked around the FSM and didnt see anything.

Thanks

Not sure on the SR transmission, but on the KA transmission there is a bolt you take out on the side of the transmission. Fluid should be to the top of that drain hole. Fill either in that bolt hole (hard) or take out your shifter and fill there (easy)

K, thats what I figured from reading a few different posts. Thanks for the reply, I think I might just have the shop do a fluid change then. I'm just too lazy to deal with that right now I think.

i would just drain it out and refill it, all it takes is a 1/2 drive ratchet

theres a metal plug that goes into the drivers side of the transmission with a square shape in it..loosen that out and fluid should seep out
