ok, I feel like a total 'tard asking this, but will a ka24e transmission bolt to an rb25det? I dont think so, but there's a lingering doubt. and where can I get an rwd trans for one if the ka doesnt work? other than a gts-t(or whatever it is) skyline?

Nope... you'll need the GTS-25T transmission to get the engine running. The 300Z Z32 shares a similar transmission (I think the gearbox is the same on the n/a version) but it won't bolt onto the RB series engine.
