There are no such things as stupid questions, just stupid people that ask questions. That said, use the search button. You will get torched on the forum for not searching. Stock s13 blacktop, about 3.5 qrts, but many people run 4 and even a little more IIRC. I run half a quart more than required by the Greddy pan. A little more oil in a turbo car never hurt, the SR oil pan is pretty tiny from the factory. You can really get oil heated quickly from what Ive heard from trackday and race junkies.

Yep the only stupid question is the un-asked question! wow you have been a member from 2005 n you dont have a FSM DONT worry I dont flame ohh n the more oil the better but over filling you might loose some power due to winedage (crankshaft slowed down from oil leval too high) and theres a possabilty of blowing your seals out , kinda like this --->

i signed up and forgot i was on here, and my local 240sx forum went down for 2 months right when i was starting my SR swap, and ive never done one before even though ive had 240's since i was 16, so i got on here so i could get a couple questions answered since i dont have anyone to help me, and when i went to sign up my username was taken and thats when i remembered i signed up a while back.

and trying to get this thing ready so i can hit the track on the 6th gets me frustrated, and when that happens i cant think straight so i start asking questions without thinking or researching first lol

i have a paper back FSM straight from nissan for the 240sx, but i just got the SR so i dont have one for it yet.

i put 4 quarts in so its not REALLY overfilled but ill probly drain some out just to be safe, i was just in a hurry to get it running and i didnt think it would take less than what the KA does but i guess i was wrong lol

What kinda racing? For drag I would drain that extra half qt. ! It might save you some power. About 5-10 WHP! For any kind of racing where Your turning fast I would leave a lil extra so your oil pick up has less of a chance of sucking up any air! Until You buy the greddy oil pan with the pick up baffles

prety much anything with turns, auto-x, road course, ive been thinking about getting into scca, i grew up around muscle cars, and have owned several (i still have a few) so i got kinda board with drag racing and decided to try other things, so far im liking it.

i was suposed to be going to putnam park for a track day they were having but since i havent found another job yet i have to budget my money
