I decided to repair my current 1990 Q rather then switch to a newer 1999. Ive started on a list of things that need work (actually before you say too much, its a shorter list ) and i've come to that fuel smell I get. I took my pump partly out to find the black O-ring type thing that seals the pump to the tank is in two pieces, one of which I had to fish out from the tank itself. I checked online for the part so I could order a new one and solve the smell problem, but alas I have no idea what its actually called. I figured I might as well buy a new one cause i'm sure any on a wrecked Q would probably be dry and cracked. Furthermore the screws that hold the fuel pump assembly to the fuel tank... im missing 3! No idea where I can find new screws that would fit
Finally the lightbulb that goes below the bottom left orange readout has once again died, looking for two new bulbs - any idea of a place to order
I have a little wanted list - things like the new ECU (but I dont have the time to send my own in to get it redone and have no car), new tires, new glass (a crack), and possibly a new paint job (but I can live with the scratch for now, I doubt I could find anybody here that would do a great job for a fair price). Ive laid out 2k for this project right now, minus the paint and tires I dont see it being too much trouble
Good to be home guys!
