I decided to repair my current 1990 Q rather then switch to a newer 1999. Ive started on a list of things that need work (actually before you say too much, its a shorter list ) and i've come to that fuel smell I get. I took my pump partly out to find the black O-ring type thing that seals the pump to the tank is in two pieces, one of which I had to fish out from the tank itself. I checked online for the part so I could order a new one and solve the smell problem, but alas I have no idea what its actually called. I figured I might as well buy a new one cause i'm sure any on a wrecked Q would probably be dry and cracked. Furthermore the screws that hold the fuel pump assembly to the fuel tank... im missing 3! No idea where I can find new screws that would fit

Finally the lightbulb that goes below the bottom left orange readout has once again died, looking for two new bulbs - any idea of a place to order

I have a little wanted list - things like the new ECU (but I dont have the time to send my own in to get it redone and have no car), new tires, new glass (a crack), and possibly a new paint job (but I can live with the scratch for now, I doubt I could find anybody here that would do a great job for a fair price). Ive laid out 2k for this project right now, minus the paint and tires I dont see it being too much trouble

Good to be home guys!

The O ring is shared by many NIssans. Get all your parts from joe at infiniti of scottsdale, hed be able to hook you up with the Oring and the bolts. The O ring was like a couple bucks and the bolts may be a few bucks each.

Make sure to read about chain guide replacement for your 1990. Very important if not already done. Sounds like you found your fuel smell. Mine had fuel smell when the key was turned on and it turned out to be a couple slightly leaking fuel lines under the plenum.

Hopefully this is the only cause of the fuel smell, time will tell I suppose

Actually did my guide replacement right before I headed out a while back so my brother could use the car for however many months I ended up being gone. Good thing I did because I found them in pieces, a disaster waiting to happen

elwesso - ive looked over his site a few times but still fail to find the correct parts to order. Is this something I should just call in or am I missing something?

thanks again guys

Always call to verify part number and availability. It helps to know your VIN.
