Stupid question but please answer. ECU question

I just bought a sr20det red top and my friend is selling me a #63 ecu. I know its off a SR20 redtop also but isn't it for an automatic? Will it work with my 5spd Sr20?

You need an E5 or #62 ECU.

It will work but the car may idle higher than normal when you are moving. I ran on an auto ECU for 3 years before I switched to a manual, its no big deal. Should be same performance and gas mileage if the engine was installed and working properly.
