What do you hope to accomplish by doing this??

IMO, for the money, you'd be better off doing something that might make a difference in the response and handling of the car. An Energy Suspension master bushing kit comes to mind. You'd be surprised what a difference it can make.

Think about it. Yes, a high flow cat will flow more. On a stock exhaust, you will notice nothing. Noise shoudl not increase at all, your system likely has a resonator/glasspack and a muffler. It's a waste of money. Look elsewhere.

If you are going to run nitrous or a turbo, then your idea would make for a nice sleeper system.

A high flow cat on a stock exhaust will still be completely backed up and will sacrifice tons of power in a turbo application. For a nitrous application this is all irrelevant, nitrous works on totally different chemical and physical processes. If you want a sleeper system, use several open-tube perforated side core glasspacks in series, they dont' restrict flow and baffle noise extremely well. It's dumb to look on ebay and see something, think it's kind of cool and buy it because it's less than $100. Do more research, etc. It's also dumb to say that adding a high flow cat would be a "nice sleeper system" for nitrous or turbo. A higher flowing cat is a no-brainer to anyone who knows jack about this stuff and certainly doesn't qualify as a "sleeper system" on it's own.

You gotta upgrade one thing to upgrade another . . and upgrading one thing without upgrading another is like . . . wanting to eat cake but not having a mouth!!

Stupid example, but you get the DORIFTO

Yeah, man, kinda like the wide body kit with 18x10 wheels? Gotta do both, right?

yea guys nice analogies, but as previously mentioned, look into some suspension items, bushings are a great idea and are relatively cheap

Ditto. Work on suspension first, it's a great way to learn more about your car and relatively easy.

I was being sarcastic about the body kit/wheels which a member is wishing to have.
