Stupid question about the auto headlight function

the dvd manual said turn the setting to auto then turn on the car to set auto shut off but when i did it it didnt shut them off.

the hell is wrong with me?

im most likely highly misunderstanding the question, but turn the headlight switch to auto, when it gets dark while driving your headlights will turn on, after you park and turn the car off the headlights will go off after about 20-30 seconds.

no, youre right. thats what im asking about.

but i swear ive done it 10 times and it never turns off.

really.. well ive it an 11th try, and just wait it out wait at least a full minute, i know the car has a power saving feature that will turn them off after about 5-8 minutes or so, so dont wait that long, if that doesnt work, then we'll go from there

You have to open and then shut your door and then a little while later they'll turn off
