Stupid question about rb20 ignitor.

Discuss the RB20, RB25 and RB26 series engines.

is the ignitor chip dying a common thing for the rb20? just curious....

Yeah it seem to get hot and die . I saw alot of people swapping them for the Z32 one . I also did it.

IIRC The rb20 had the same ignitor as the early z32 which was recalled. Most rb20s didn't see this recall. I would guess with the amount of miles they were seeing it wasn't an issue so they didn't get replaced.

yea mine crapped out on me a couple weeks back. i wanted to try the GM retro fit coil but too scared and don't want to **** anything up....haha
