stupid Q... should there be a bov w/ my clip?

I got a clip from venus a while back and recently i just started really taking the thing apart and i noticed that there is no bov...? is this normal? I've heard of cars not having a bov but the ones i heard of were really old and usually only ran a couple lbs of boost.

nope, you arent missing a BOV cuz it didnt come with one from the factory. some cars came stock with a bypass valve which is virtually the same but no pshhhhhh noise. good lookin out though, it would've been nice for them to give ya a BOV, lol.

Thanks, i was getting worried for a moment. i do know the difference between a bov a bypass valve, but the still both do the same basic thing except one recirculates and one doesn't. I was just a little curious because i was looking at another importer and they say they give a bov with the ca18det clip.
