My oil pan is kinda dented and I would like to swap it out for a larger capacity one anyway, of course we all know next to nothing is available for ca in US, so does anyone know if the bolt patterns are the same for SR20det or maybe even ka24de or e?

Or if you have a super secret source for ca18 ones, let me know.

AFAIK, ONLY the RWD CA oilpan will work. use a hammer and bang yours out. That's what I did with mine, and it works perfectly.

Well actually its easy to find parts for the CA just only stock parts when you want start getting into performance parts than you'll need to search to find them.

My advice on this matter, leave the oil pan be or get one custom made. None of the other nissan oil pans directly fit the DET. The CA18ET and DE has the same bolt patterns to the block, but that's about it.

its not the dents that make me want to swap it, its just that I'd like a little more capacity. 4 quarts is not a lot on any engine, especially a turbocharged one.

i was thinking of adding baffles and capacity, adding end tanks on the side of the front of the oil pan where it is infront of the crossmember.. just adding 1/2 to 3/4 of a quart to either side.. the baffles will b like the ones built by TOMEI for the RB26 (simple jsut a open box for the oil pick-up to rest in, when the car is cornering hard or launches hard, the oil stays in the box, always ensuring the pick-up is submerged in oil...
