I ordered a clip and my oil pan cam a litle dneted, but not broken. The dent was'nt near the oil pickup, so I just left it. But I think that a dented or damaged oil pan is pretty common when buying either a clip or motorset. As for getting a new one, you can either go to the junkyard and find a pulsar with a turbo CA (maybe), or you can ask around and see if anyone has an extra one lying around. I don't have an extra one.

My pan came with a dent, and I guess it was fairly close to the oil pickup, so I pounded it out. It's harder than I thought it would be, so what I did was take the lever from my jack (that roughly 4 ft thing) and planted it on the dent, and used a handheld sledge. This was really the only way I found effective, and I managed to pound it out so it was almost perfect.

Mine was dented too. I pounded the dents out with an old socket mounted backwards on a rachet extension. Probably unnecessary though. If you're really worried about it, pull one from a junkyard 200sx with a CA18ET.

I think most of them will be dented. Just bang the dent out with a sledge hammer. As RMiller said, it's not easy, but it can be done. As for getting a new one, DON'T GET ONE FROM A PULSAR! They are a FWD car and are shaped totally different. If you get one from an older 200sx, that MIGHT work, but they came with a bunch of different motors, so make sure you get one that had a CA18ET motor.

I actually got my motorset from Venus Auto, and when I saw my pan was dented, I immediately called them. The girl that works the phone is really cool, plus she grew up in Fullerton (where I live), and she said they would replace it with a good pan when they got one in. I never pursued it because meanwhile I decided it didn't matter in the least once I pounded the dent out. I can't say for sure if they would have given me the part, but it seemed like it, so maybe wherever the dizzle got his motor they'll offer him similar support. Still, don't worry about it; the shape doesn't really matter as long as the pickup has a sufficient oil supply.

I don't get it. Ok, the shape differences between the FWD and RWD pans matters, but it doesn't matter if your pan is a little dented. Was that why I'm stupid and you're with me?

LOL, sorry man! Thats my favorite smiley. I totally agree with you and what you said. But I like to call people stupid (which in a weird, round-a-bout way imply's that I'm stupid if I'm agreeing with you. ).
