Sup,

I know about the notorious rattle can noise for KA24DE's. My friend said she could help me remove the part today. It should only take a few minnutes, blah blah blah-

But is it bad if I just remove it, and not repllace it? It was there for a reason... right?

Also, once I turbo the motor, will I HAVE to replace it?

Thanks for your wisdom, dudes.

Nissan said you dont need either of the 2 top chain guides, you can just take them off and not have to worry about them. the top one takes 15 mins max to take it off, the side one takes a little longer since you have to pull the front cover off to get to it.

Unless your talking about the heat shield. Then rip it off and don't park over any gas soaked hay

lol wtf? does the 24E have the same issue with the timing chain guide? my engine has a rattle in it when it idles at cold, and i think still makes the noise when im driving, its hard to tell cause of other noises. its a rattle from the more front part of the engine and its pretty freaking obnoxious. anyone have that same prob?
