i was coming back from a party and i thought i was going too fast on a turn..so pressed the brakes as i was on the turn...a BIG mistake. i found myself spinning out and hitting the curb on my rear right tires/wheels. i just hope nothing is bend or anything. i pulled over to check out the wheels and there was a spot where it got messed up. i think i went over the curb in an angle, but i wasn't sure. i'm going to have to check tomorrow to see if anything is bent. as i thought about it while i was in the back roads on my way home (i was going super slow, so i had a lot of time to think about it) i could have made the turn without even pressing on the brakes. i'm not sure though. stupid me...i just hope nothing is bent! well, this gives me a better reason to get some better wheels. the curb had a slope on it, so i hope nothing bad happened to anything. stupid mistake!

That happened to me too in my 240SX. It was my first experience with RWD. I was driving along the road which was turning sharply to the left, and suddenly i felt the car acting weird, pulling away from the center of the road. Naturally, i braked, as I would have done with any of my previous FWD cars, but then the car started to fishtail and my rear end started going all weird. I was able to countersteer it correctly but it was still scary as hell.

Now i know to just let off the accelerator, and steer with extreme caution.

I'm glad I was alone for my first spin-out. Otherwise, I would have never shown my face to my passenger ever again. But eh it was no big, no damage, and pretty fun.

i just checked to see if there was anything wrong with my car and everything seems to be fine. no bends or anything. it's only the rim that's bent...even that was nothing big.

i told my bro about it and he said he's going to give me the money to get some wheels. woah?!?! thank God for brothers eh?

dayumn this happened to me too about a month ago. i was on a back road, was going a bit to fast into a hard turn so i decided to use the brake to slow down a little bit. BAD IDEA. started to fishtail and i was looking right at the inside guard rail so i couter-steered a bit too much, did a 180 and the rear end got in the grass, then did a 180 in the opposite direction and ended up on the side of the road. thank god nothing happened to my car! a bit of mub all over the place and some real minor scratches. i woulda freaked out if anything happened! and i drive alot more careful now. im even a bit scared to drive fast now.

When I was 16 I was driving my mom's 82 mustang and I was getting onto an onramp that forms almost a complete circle. Thus the 30mph sign posted. Stupid me I took it at about 60-65 with my three friends in the car. As I was about to hit the part that straightens out and the rear end slides out and we pull a 270 degree rotation and end up perpendicular to oncoming traffic on a two lane over pass with 30 foot drop on one side and a good 50 foot drop on the other. Didn't hit a thing, just parked it perfectly across the two lanes. Luckily no cars were anywhere near us or behind us so I had time to get fixed and drive away. Stupid, yes. Learned my lesson, yes.

hahaha u wanna hear stupid? I was in a shop to get my inspection done and a complete moron! must have been new to stick shift was inside and one of the mechnic told him to turn the car on, so instead of going inside and sitting down and turning it on, he just turns the key from outside and the car started moving forward rofl.... it hit a tool box and the lift and messed up the whole hood, bumper and fender but luckly no one got hurt. The car must have been on 1st gear and no e-brake on or something but that was quite surprising yet funny

It can be disabled pretty easily. Back when I was driving the 74 stang I spun it all the time. Never really learned. Me and my friend ran it up a 2 foot embankment then proceded to his house where I jumped it and burried the nose into te gravel. That sucked. Tore up the front valance. Poor old mustang.

My first experience with that I went into a hole, and was a total loss.

I learned a lot about car control in RWD after that.
