IN A MOMENT OF SHEAR STUPIDITY I REVERSED THE POLARITY AS I JUMPED MY 99 FRONTIER WITH MY 2000 QUEST, NOW THE STEREO/CD PLAYER/ CASSETTE PLAYER WILL NOT WORK IN THE FRONTIER. ANY IDEAS FOR A FIX, OR HAVE I MADE A BOAT ANCHOR.

Start checking all the main fuses under the hood then continue into the cabin fuse box.

That and pray a main fuse blew and protected the rest of the electrical system.

Check the fusible links as well. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the fuses were able to protect the circuits!

Thanks for you help, it turned out that the fuse under the hood protected my stereo. The problem was easy to find with the help of my neighbour who lent me his fuse tester out of his early Ninetys pathfinder. What a handy tool, too bad Nissan stopped including them.
