stupid KA question. bare with me.

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

i have a SOHC KA and need a new motor. can i drop a DOHC in and use the SOHC harness for the DOHC ECU and Motor?

nope the proper way to do it is dohc motor, harness, mafs, ignition coil, ecu, power steering lines and pump.

ok does the whole setup get kinda spendy? the power steering really isnt a concern since my 72 datsun 510 doesnt have power steering LOL. ill probably just get a SOHC for simplicity till i can pick up a SR20 next winter.

you should be able to find a good KA24DE for about 500 bones..longblock...you will however have to barter for a harness and ecu..unless you get lucky and get em together.
