On aftermarket FMIC's where is the wastegate signal located? (Blitz, HKS, Greddy, etc...) Also, do all come with the large hose on the coldpipe to the IACV? Because in all the pics I see in advertisements the pipes rarely show any nipples coming off of them. I'm retarded I know.

the wastegate signal comes from any pressurized area of the intake, not from the IC specifically. [hotpipe, coldpipe, nipple on the compressor itself, tee from another vacuum line, ect...]

no idea about the IACV line.

So those running aftermarket IC's simply "T" off of one of the vacuum lines on the throttle body and run that to the wastegate? I am already "T"ing off of the FPR line for my boost gauge.

On my hotpipe, there is a nipple that I used for my wastegate.

I have the same issue. My Greddy VSPL & Enjuku Hot Pipe kit lacks a nipple on that side for the wastegate.

So if I "T" off the line that goes to the BOV, will that work?

Also

I am using the JDM air intake tube. I have one mystery vacuum home coming off of it that I have no idea where it goes to.

Any help?

To recirculate the air released through the BOV I would think.

I don;t think so, there is a larger one on the other side for that - this is the size of a small vacuum hose

To connect the outlet side of a catch tank to the intake then?

The older model Greddy VSPL dosen't have any nipples. The Heavy Throttle hotpipe does though.

I use the T method. Works like a charm.

In all honesty, I would use this way anyways. When you take the signal from the hot-pipe, its not really the correct boost the engine sees. Boost builds earlier in the hotpipe, and also, hot air expands more then the colder air on the "cool" side of the intercooler.

I think this would be less of an issue with the stock WG, but for boost controllers or aftermarket wastegates, I would use the T method (with lines as short as possible).

I think I got it done. Almost done man, just gotta get the timing right this week and it will be ready to run. I'll give you a shout on Monday or Tuesday. I won't be able to work on it until possibly Tuesday after work. I'll give you a shout and maybe we can get together and look over what I have done.
