stupid intake hoses

does anyone know if you actually need that wierd piping in the fenders or can you rip it out? i want to cap it off on the main intake but dont want to throw the vacuum / maf reading off

I took it all out with no ill effect when I was NA, just make sure you cap it off like you said so no vac leaks.

I went to Home Depot, in the plumbing isle they have black rubber caps. I had 1 1/2 inch, but I think you could go just a bit smaller maybe 1 1/4. They were only like $1.50 a piece.

The piping on the NA's is blocked off from factory. So yes you can remove it
This is my before and after just make sure to cap off the obvious hole you make in the intake piping from removing the useless piping
No ill effects seen

They are baffles, quiets it down when you open the throttle. So it won't have the foghorn sound that people like.
