I've got an s14 sr and it's idling around 2-3k and I can't figure out why. I have the timing set back all the way and my idle adjustment screw is all the way in. Does anyone know how I can get it to settle? I need to get it under 1k so I can set my timing. Thanks :D

Boost leak, faulty aac, or aac not getting 12 volts. Those are good places to start.

Checked for leaks and I have none. By acc do you mean IACV?It idled just over 1k before and then I turned the idle adjustment screw in to lower it a bit and that's when all of this started.

would be nice if we got previous history and when this all started...dont have a crystal ball you know

check for vacuum leaks, every hose for holes and cracks including the booster hose.

never screw with the idle screw or timing just bc you got high idle unless you know its been tampered with

Checked and double checked for vacuum leaks and found none. I did get it to idle at 1500 with the timing set all the way back but it has weak response and wont let me rev past 4k, which I'm guessing is a timing issue.Would I maybe need to adjust my TPS?

completely basic, but make sure your coolanat is topped off and there is not any air in the system. Low coolant levels can make high idles and all kinds of goofy stuff.
