back story: my billing address was changed with at&t without my authorization back in august/september. one day, a random bill shows up at my parents house for the total of three months worth of service. i call and complain about the unauthorized address change, have the late fees removed, and square up my debt with them

this morning, my mother hands me a bill from at&t that was delivered to her house again. now i'm pissed. i call them up and the girl tells me that the post office contacted them and changed my address for me. . did i tell you that i was moving? did i ask you to forward my mail someplace else? who gave you the authority to make changes to MY contracts?

i have already had at&t add a permanent comment to my account stating that NO ONE but me is allowed to make any changes to my account (which imo, should have been the case from the get go). i also have an open complaint with the post office, from whom i'm waiting for a call back. i'm raising hell when they call. if they want the ability to change my account information with a private company whenever they want, then they should be accountable for paying the bill. my money, my account, STAY THE f*** OUT OF IT

Was your area recently annexed by a city or different county?

If so, that's the way that it goes. I was getrting dinged $10 a p0ackage that was shipped via UPS, because an area of Puyallup WA, was recently annexed, so the address got all screwed up. Nothing I could do about it.

no annexation going on here. still the same city in the same county. i'm a junior, and according to the broad at usps customer service, their system doesn't recognize the jr. suffix. that's a load of s***. i haven't had any issues with any other mail being delivered to my house, just with at&t.

A while back, after living at my current address for a little over a year, I suddenly stopped getting mail. It was weird, and just as I was about to investigate it, a strange form letter appeared in my mailbox (I have a cluster box). It was obviously some post office standard note thing. It said that the box was vacant and no longer in use. I flipped the paper over and wrote in huge caps: This box is not vacant! I still live here!The mail worked again for about a week, at which point it stopped again. This time I went to the post office and complained in person. They had a STACK of effing mail, some of it from before I ever realized my mail wasn't getting through. Including bills. Which I didn't get. Which is crap.Anyway, I yelled at some people and eventually found out that they had some "substitute" mail lady doing my route because the main driver was very sick and the temp screwed everything up. I'm not sure why a temp was ABLE to screw stuff up...just randomly decide I don't live here anymore. I don't get it. Why isn't that crap verified? Why did it happen in the first place? Why didn't someone say "hey, this stack of mail here is huge, I wonder why no one has come to get it yet?" Complete and total failure on all counts.
