During college whenever I visited home and was needed to drive my mom's car, the first stop within the subdivision was always my left foot slamming on the brake thinking it was the clutch. BTW, you could also look at the statistics based on number of miles driven, as the ratio of male to female drivers is no longer as pronounced as it was in the 20th century. I'd imagine that men still drive more miles on average, than women. Not that it excuses the automatic response of "stupid female driver". Although I often question female's "better judgment" when I see them applying makeup while driving.
