Sorry its a long post. Just had to rant.

So coming home from school tonight I'm going down a street on the right lane. Going about 40 and the civic behind me decides to tailgate me...Ok theres a wide open lane on the left but he does that.

We pull up to the light at the next intersection and he has a buddy with an Integra Type R there who was tailgating a Porsche Carrera. The light turns green and the carerra goes at a normal speed. Teg goes behind it and switches over to the right lane and the Civic follows by. I switch over to the left lane because there was a car in front of me that was going even slower than I was.

I end up behind the Carerra and I start to hear someone screaming. I look over and it was from the Civic, but I don't really care since im on the phone, my windows are up, and my radio is on.

Then I hear him start to scream something about 240sx. And so I start listening..hes screaming at me asking me if I want to run. I'm already 2 cars in front of him in the other lane...and so then this is the part that gets me. He starts screaming to the Integra guy saying when I switched lanes I was flooring it on him. Yes I was flooring it...if going fifth gear at 40mph means flooring it. Then he proceeded to tell the Teg to "get him"

Get me??? Theres 4 cars in front of the teg and 2 in front of me...how exactly is he going to "get me?" So I keep looking at my side mirror..and the guy in the Teg was all like ALRIGHT, and he throws out his cig and starts revving (which hes been doing the whole time even at the past light).

That whole part just kinda got me mad a bit. I'm sorry mr. I'm a street racer for life, go Vin Diesel and Paul Walker Fast and the Furious! But yall are just stupid.

Light turns green and we start to go. All that happens it the Teg tails me..its not like I have any place to go. So I just end up going slower than the speed limit. I was going to brake check them, but I rather not.

Anyone else encouter stupid drivers? What do you do in the situation? I was gonna start messing with them, but then I decided I just wanted to go home to rest.

almost daily, not a two weeks ago i was driving a canyon casually back from malibu to the 101 and had a honda accord pull up on my ***. so i went slower until i got to a place where i could turn out..do i think he was dumb. yea sortof. i wasnt exactly driving slow and he caught me, but i refuse to drive 10/10ths on a public road. 7/10ths at most and thats only with people i trust....plus i was almost hit twice by line crossers the first 10 minutes i was on the road.....god i hate line crossers

I drive 50 miles round trip every day, so I encounter quite a few of the smartest drivers alive on a daily basis. The guys like the two you were talking about I just ignore, nothing gets them more pissed off than them revving at you at a light then you take off nice and slow while they chirp the tires and speed away.

Today an older man in one of those ram air TA's pulled out in front of me on the 2 lane highway I drive on, while I was doing about 45 in 4th gear. I switched lanes and downshifted next to him, but then I heard the supercharger whine and he was gone. I usually only play around with older drivers - they seem to know when to stop and they don't "play" in a way that is putting everyone within a mile behind them in danger. They also do it with a smile on their face - not like Joe Ricer who has that angry and constipated face on the whole time.

I rarely ever mess around like that though - mainly because gas is just too expensive, I value my license, my car, and above all my life; I am on PBJ because of an accident then a speeding ticket 6 months later, and I don't like how everyone thinks because I drive a car with a body kit Im going to drive like a jerkoff.

I won't lie, sometimes I give in though. Now I never go weaving in and out of traffic at 20+mph over the legal limit, but I will launch pretty hard (which isn't that hard in a lightly modded S13, lol) when Im at a light next to another "tuner" car.

For all you guys out there, speed carefully.... Try to keep it below 15 over, at least in my opinion. I'm probably going to have my license revoked for three (65/45, 75/55 work zone, 89/70) tickets. All were undercover (Camaro w/o markings/Cavalier) except one who was coming the other way and pulled a U- I never speed terribly on normal roads, it's just the highways/main 2/3/4 lane roads that I get on up there. Ricers around here are actually slow, I'm 90% of the time the fastest driving person around... on the highway at least

i enjoy watching these fools make idiots out of themselves at lights. civics, accords, whatever will rev like crazy, while staring at me. I will give the driver one glance, then turn away. light turns green, the burnout like crazy and get ahead, then I just punch it, pass them up quick as hell, never go above the speed limit, then slow down to give them the stare right back. Its great cause they wont even look at you.

I never weave in traffic or race near people or other cars.

Yeah..my daily commute is 80+ miles round trip to school. Theres just a lot of ***holes everywhere, but usually nothing like this happens to me because I just stay on the right lane going speed limit or so.

I felt like I should have messed with him though. Makes me mad that he had to "get me" with his friend instead of himself.

Shouldn't make you feel bad, that should make you feel better than him lol. That would be embarassing though...it's like getting your big brother to beat up some kid with a nicer bike than you.

Don't pay attention to me, Im falling asleep.

Something similar happened to me once - a kid in a Civic kept trying to take me at every light we came to; so he pulled over and let his buddy driving a RX8 go around him so he could smoke me for his friend. I didn't take off, but the Mazda guy took off, so when the Civic went to go past me I took off and still took him

Wow that is the most I have said took in one sentence,

It happens, I usually pay no attention. If I'm in the mood I may spin second gear to about 50ish sometimes then shift to 5th. I guess it gives them something to think about like, don't mess with this truck motor.

Reminds me of driving to work at 5:30am a few weeks ago. I'm driving 5 over, speed limit is 35 so 40 is reasonable. Its still dark out and the car behind me is pretty close to my bumper. I'm like WTF? I have to be to work in 30 minutes and have a 5 minute drive left. So its not like the person was really in a hurry its 5:30. Then I notice the headlight get dimmer and pretty much disappear, my car is pretty low if the light disappeared he is dam close to my bumper. Then I notice hes about a foot or less off my bumper. So I proceed to speed up then get about 2-3 cars on him then I pulled slightly on the ebrake on locked the rears up for a slight second to make a small screech and some smoke. It was a warning to get off my bumper with out brake checking him. He virtually stopped dead in his tracks. The light I was coming up to was red and I was going straight. He decided to turn and pulled up to the turn lane he stopped about 2 cars off my bumper. He took off like a bat out of hell and turned. So I figure I have 25 minutes to waste so I chase him down and he blows stop sign after stop sign while I stop at ever stop sign. He gets about 4 blocks ahead of me and parks the wrong way on the opposite side of the street and runs inside a house with the car still running. I pass by and flip him off and I didn't get off course to bad and took an extra 2 minutes out of my way. I bet I scared the crap out of him.

lol...i should try that sometime.

I usually just brake check people, but now more than often, I rather them not hit me. So I just want to find ways to annoy them. Whats the rush? Your on the slow lane...move to the fast one. Its open, no one is there. Just drive that lane. Or maybe he was just trying to force me to go faster...good going More like he had no common sense.

i got to a light and a 2005 WRX pulled up next to me. the car still had dealer plates, but he thought he would be cool and start ****ing with me. he tried to launch, but as everyone knows, you need to get used to launching an all wheel drive car. he stalled, i laughed, it was good.

I've had a few similar incidents myself in the past. Once I was merging onto the freeway and it had double lanes that merge into one once you get to the highway and I usually merge onto the freeway pretty quick because it's almost a blind spot trying to get on the freeway at this on ramp. Well I hit 2nd rev till about 4500 then 3rd and do the same and all of a sudden this celica comes flying by me and then almost cuts me off and then once he gets like 2 car lengths in front of me he then flashes his hazard lights on me like it was some kind of a F*@&ing race or something. Another time I turned onto this business district 2 lane road after dropping my buddy off to pick up his S13 because he was getting it painted and the speed limit is like 40 and I'm doing like 45 or so and I hear this loud *** wine so I look over and low and behold one of those Sentra Spec-V's rolls up next to me doing my speed in like 2nd gear I'm guessing. I look into the car and it's some punk kid and his friend and everytime I speed up or slow down to get away from the noise his engine is producing sounding like it's about to blow he keeps pacing me so I caved and dropped the hammer and smoked his ***. The funny thing was everytime I looked at him he wouldn't look over at me he just kept staring straight ahead, I called him a F'n idiot but he never looked over to see that and I doubt he heard me because of how loud his engine was screaming. Yeah I run into people like this all the time. I just try to ignore them unless they keep pacing me like this jacka$$. I however have no quams about brake checking someone, gives me a reason to get Kouki Taillights and a JDM rear bumber!

you know it actually never really happens to me. once in a while i'll have someone rev at me at a stoplight. i never pay attention though. usually messing with my radio or talking to my passenger. they just rev once and then give up after they realize i'm not interested. i guess i've been lucky. looks like some guys just dont give up or take the hint from the posts i've read.

Bad Drivers? Oh yeah... You see Im a highschool student so I have to deal with many many of them. They all think their the **** but they cant drive worth a donkies ***. This one kid in a red vert BMW 3 series is a total ******* but if i just speed up for a while, leave him behind, get in a safe zone and slow down. I try to keep a cool head but sometimes these road antics become a little bit much know what I mean?

haha i had a guy in a mustang gt, with a park bench wing i might add, pull up next to me yesterday and start revving like **** and yelling at me even though i had my window closed...i just go normally and he takes off like a bat out of hell, and proceeds to lose control of the car and run into a tree. as i was going past i made sure he saw me laughing at him as he got out of his car

then i had someone today on the highway tailgaiting me in an suv even though i was in the slow lane and the fast lane was wide open. he did it until we got to my offramp, which he followed me down...i never slowed down for the offramp and he almost went off the road trying to keep up

I got a bunch of this when I drive into work. Even on the backroads. There were this one place were right after a 2-lane road merged to a 1-lane, there was a neighboorhood entrace. That neighboorhood must be the idiot driver central, I swear every day I would have someone coming nearly out of control passing everyone and cutting into traffic as the lanes merged, just to get ahead of a few cars and then pull into that neighboorhood 150yards down the road (making everyone stop for them).

I have learned that if you are being tailgated, if you squeal the tires through a turn (either through sharp/fast turning or slight power-over) they usually back off.

street racing.. not worth the ticket, lisence suspension, and car impoundment.. not to mention risking lives of not just yours, but others (innocent).

haha.. at night, i was test driving my friend 88 mazda FC he bought for $800. Not a bad car.. but anyways, i pull up to a stop light, and and EVO VIII pulls next to me and revs up. Some late 20s white dude w/ sunglasses (yes at night.. very cool to do) then rolls his windows down, looks at me, and revs even more. $800 1988 mazda rx-7 vs. a $40,000+ Mitsubishi EVO VIIIc'mon now? this guy has to be kidding me

That is awsome, I love the tailgate squirter.... I am not going to lie and say that I am the safest driver in the world( i was until I joined the military and wasnt allowed to drive for almost a year). I tend to be the tailgater. I would say that I am probably one of the fastest interstate drivers in the country. I drive back to my parents house at least once a month and I know that I have logged at least 4000+ miles of interstate driving at speeds between 100-125 depending on whether or not I can find someone else to cruise with. Shoot I got pulled over tonight by an umarked for tailgating him doing 70 in a 45 on a narrow bridge.(he let me off without even a warning...

Yeah, I've been lucky with cops lately. One night I was coming home from work, it was late, around 11:30 to 12:00 and I was just happy to be off work. I figured it's late, there shouldn't be many people out on the road. I was wrong. I got pulled for not stopping completely at a stop sign, (I slowed down but didn't completely stop), I was speeding (about 10 miles over), my stereo was too loud,(speakers were blasting, I was happy), and when he pulled me over my lap belt wasn't fastened. I was really respectful and showed him my time slip from work and he let me go with a warning. Ever since then, I drive slower and try to be more careful, especially at night.

My brother is kinda an jerk when it comes to being an aggressive (stupid) driver. He has an 02 Ford Lightning and he lets everyone know it. Most of the time if I'm riding passenger when we're in town he'll accellerate then slow down, accellerate then slow down. He just likes to hear the sound of his magnaflows. He'll do it when other cars are around, it is so obnoxious. He'll be driving along and rev up his engine like I mentioned and if someone speed up slightly, he claims "Oh they wanna go!". Whatever though, he's usually a nice person most of the time.

When that happens they usually write my plate number down and I have cops roll into my house later that evening. I say don't know what happened I don't think it was my car must have been another car because mine is a 4 cly.

I was being tailgated by an suv a month or so ago and it was raining. I don't know what he was thinking because I know that he couldn't have stopped well in the rain. We got to a red light and after it changed green I slid through 1st and 2nd gear, covering his car in water. It seemed to get my point across because he backed up after that. I also like the off ramp idea after driving fast on the highway. The tailgater is usually too busy trying to tailgate you to notice that there might be a tight corner coming up ahead.

I personally I think that in a lot of cases getting a warning is a lot more effective than getting a ticket. I have gotten both, the ticket was first though. After that, I was extremely pissed off at the "law", mainly because the officer was a jerk to me, and I felt ripped off. I will truthfully say my street driving got about 3x worse for about 6 months. Finally, I realized that I was driving that way because I lost my respect for the police, and drove bad just to spite them. I would pass a cop and then punch the gas as soon as they were out of site. When I came to my senses, I knew that one bad experience was no reason to disrespect them all. A second encounter with a nice officer that ended with a warning, totally changed my perspective. And I have been much more reasonable since.
