Hey guys,

I recently replaced the clutch master and slave cylinder last week and bled the lines as well. I adjusted the pedal freeplay so that engage is right in the middle of pedal travel. Now I've got this stupid problem, the engagement point will not stay in the middle of pedal travel. I tried adjusting it literally 50 times already with no luck (very very small adjustments at a time).

The pedal is either

a) very stiff, no freeplay, and engages at the VERY top.

or

b) very light, lots of freeplay, and engages at the very bottom.

It seems that when I do get it feeling right, I'll drive it around for a bit and the clutch starts to get stiff and engage points moves up, as I'm driving.

Anybody know what might be the problem? or do I have to live with either scenerio A or B.

Thanks in advance...

have you tried to re-bleed the lines? seems odd to me that you set it where you want it, and then it changes by pressing the petal.. as tho air was moving around in the line.
