Tried to start a clutch job today on my son's '96 model and ended quick when I couldn't even get my damn jack under the car. Could have driven it on boards but don't think my jack would even reach the cross member. 3 ton Craftsman from 2006. Not a low profile or long reach model. Job got put on hold to aquire low profile long reach 3 ton Daytona from Harbor Freight, in black.

I really hate working on the Z32. Although front and rear brakes were pretty easy.

Got the transmission out. Took 3.5 hrs. I've gotta say, not a fun job...lol. Took both jacks to get it out and lowered. My 23 year old son was not overly thrilled about the technique for getting the trans out and lowered. He was worried about us getting smashed and the trans getting damaged. Will be getting a transmission jack from Harbor Freight tomorrow for the install.

Waiting on the flywheel at the machine shop, should be tomorrow or Friday. Just ordered the trans input and output seals and rear main seal half moon gasket from Z1. Had gotten a Felpro rear main kit from Rock Auto but didn't come with the half moon gasket and the paper gaskets were all mangled, and brittle. Will use RTV in place of the paper gasket. Yes, the rear main seal is leaking, slightly. Also order Redline MT90 from Z1

Went and got a transmission jack from Harbor Freight. Flywheel is back. 1 day turn around and $40 wasn't bad at all. Waiting on seals and Redline oil from Z1 tomorrow. Hopefully I can remember where everything goes.

My son couldn't believe how much the entire exhaust system weighs, minus manifolds of course. He also was not a fan of my technique of trans removal...lol. Bless his heart.

Got the car back together and 65 miles into the break in period. Not a fun job. I'll make another post explaining...lol
