STUPID (?) but serious question regarding airbags

Hey everyone
So long story short without going into great detail. My brother, out of anger punched my dashboard on the passenger side a few times, right by the airbag cover. The cover popped loose slightly on one side but I was able to snap it back in place, and there is no real indication that it was ever hit. It wasnt hit as hard as he could necessarily, just banged on a few times pretty hard. Is it possible at all that the airbag could have been damaged, or is that just not likely the case. I'm sort of paranoid so any information would be extremely helpful. Thanks a lot

You have to deal with the airbag when you remove the steering wheel
They discuss airbag information in the FSM for the ST section
There are also some UTUBE videos on showing people removing them
If you do remove it you will get a check engine light to deal with probably
I am sure you could get another one at the junkyard
But yeah, if it goes off, it could be very dangerous
