I bought my 93 240 pretty recently, its non-abs, and I realized the guy that had it before me hadn't changed the brakepads in a good couple of years when I went to replace them, and the original pads couldn't really be called pads anymore, there was absolutely no pad material left on one side of the rotor. But regardless, I went to change my left front brake pads, the sun/my work times didn't give me enough time to get to the others yet, but after replacing em with new ones, the brake light comes on sometimes, and other times will start off, and then turn on when I turn right, and turn off when I turn left again...and as funny as that tends to be while driving, its also rather annoying and a wee bit scary...seems to me I missed something pretty obvious, so here's the exact run-down of what I did.

Removed hub/lug nuts/wheelRemoved bolts holding caliper in place, placed caliper out of the wayPopped out both old brake pads, popped in the new onesUsed a c-clamp with one of the old brake pads as a sort of pad to put the piston back into the caliper, after having removed the cap on the reservoir. Closed reservoir, removed c-clamp, replaced caliper, replaced bolts, replaced wheel, replaced hub.

Did I miss something really obvious thats just slipping my mind? Or did I just not torque the bolts on the caliper far enough or something stupid? Thanks in advance for the help =)

the flashing brake light is in indicator of the fluid level sensor in your master cylinder resivoir indicating low. top off the fluid, and check the connect for thr switch, and the float.

Will do, I've got a crapload of brake fluid in the trunk, I was gonna bleed em but decided against it just yet cuz I'm staying with my brother while on break from school, and he has two tools, one of which is a hammer from which the head falls off, and a pair of needle nose pliers that are about to snap into two pieces....

But I'll top off the fluid and see what happens, the brake light's not actually flashing, when it comes on it stays on for a bit. Fluid level is about 1/2 way between min and max right now, but as I said I'll top it off and see what happens.

that should take care of it, because when you corner, the float drops a little, and sets the light off.
