ive got a 97 240 .the sr motor i got was the one for the s14 with v v ti have 2 mafs for this motor the ecu is code na the wiring was done by yuri at wiring specialties, the swap was done by an incompetant shop here in san antonio i pulled it from the shop and now im here.the car starts and idles fine the problem is i cant rev past 2000 rpm,it doesnt sputter or buck.i can floor the accelarator and it does nothing but go to 2000rpm and stop.this swap has never been on the road since it was started.i can add pics if this helps.both mafs are used and i dont know how to test them.im assuming the motor is fine just because it starts and idels fine, but i could be wrong.im hoping its just a sensor or somthing.also my reverse lights do not work.a auto to manual swap was also done.once again this was done by a shop that said they could do the swap but were unable to get this car past this point.can i take this to a shop that has a consult to diagnose this problem?there are no check engine lights on.does anyone know a good shop here in san antonio texas where i can get this thing worked on without getting ripped off or gouged on pricing?

Check out the MAFS circuit. It's possible the shop may have shafted you by switching out your harness for another one they had somewhere else also. Also check out the ground going to the mafs.
