 1996 Q, 95k. Periodically will hesitate on excell at low speeds. Periodically Bucks/jolts at highway speed. In both situations the RPMs fall of the table. At highway speeds when this happens it's sort of like you are in free fall, you can't excell and push through it- it won't excell for a few secs.

I'd like to do the MAF test - wiggle wire bundle to see if this causes Q to stumble. Where are these wires. Are there online pictures that show you around the engine?

I'll have the engine checked completely next month. Any none dealer Mech. in AZ-Recommendations?

Last year Check engine light came on: MAF, Cam. Position Sens. codes came up. I changed gas cap, cleaned trottle body, kept water from washes and rain off lip just above gas cap. Light went off on its own? It stayed off 10 months. Just came back on with the above problems returning.

Obsevation: Both times this happened was immediately after long trips. Pushing Hard? Strange Gas? Lots of Rain?:help: Please

STL - Where in AZ are you?

If you're in North Phoenix, I'd be glad to meet up and go over some of these issues with you...

I also have a GREAT mechanic (independent) who I trust to work on my Q45, much less pricey than a dealer..

Email me at [email protected].
