stuck seatbelts help!

Car: '89 240sx coupe and '02 Sentra Se-r V spec

I bought a set of s14 front seatbelts to fit into my S13 and they retracted all the way back in, now I can't get them to come back out. I can only get them out a little at a time. What gives? why will they not let go? Is there a way to fix this? Please help.

It sounds like the S14 seatbelts are sitting at a differant angle that they were designed to and that is causing the inertia lock to trip. Try adjusting the angle of the housing in relation to the ground.
