Stuck in Park????
Stuck in Park????
1993 Nissan 240SX convertible stuck in "PARK" car wil start no problem, but can't move shifter out of park......also noticed brake lights won't come on when stepping on the brake. Can anyone help me, please & thank you.

In Nissans brake lights and shift lock are on same curcuit.
Check all fuses carefully, if one is burnt you might be bale to fix.
If it keeps buring out trace the circuit and fix problem.
In the meantime you should have a mechanical shift-ock release switch in my car its on the console on floor that houses the "shifter" a button you can push.
Am not sure 240 has that but should..
Even If no fuses burnt your problem is still on that circuit just wont burn thru fuse is still same circuit.

got all that buddy? they are right on the money. if you cant find a shift lock release try popping the shifter panel up and looking under it.
