stuck ignition key

I have a 97 q45 and i cant turn the ignition key. I have tried everything, even a new key nothing works. i'm pretty sure its the key and tumbler that need to be replaced. does anyone know how hard this is to replace. also if anyone could maybe help me with step by step instructions on how to replace it that would be great.

have you tryed moving your steering wheel from side to side while trying to turn the key and trying to see if the ignition unlocks? its probably that...... and welcome to NICO!

My car did that for a while so all I did was just put it into the ignition and hit it hard with the palm of my hand and 90% of the time it makes it go right in and turn, however I would only recommend this treatment unless you plan on getting a new ignition.
