I have a 93 240sx. I Recently installed some reverse guages in my car. Of course you know, to do this, one must remove the gauge cluster, and therefore the insturment bezel that surrounds the steering column. Everything installed fine, and after reinstalling everything, I noticed that my headlights will go up, but they won't go back down. I know that it's not the fuse, because if that was the case then they wouldn't go up in the first place. I can pop my hood and manually screw them down. Also, when I turn on my headlights the lights will stay down until I turn on my high-beams. The headlight control button will turn the lights up, and when I try to manually turn them down, they will resist and keep trying to go up untill I press the button again (that would normally make the lights go back down) and then I can put them down without a problem.

any ideas? I'm at wits end! even though it doesn't hurt anything to have them up, it's just crappy looking.

On the bright side, this may be an excuse for a silvia front end! :D

ah what all pop up head light owners dread the inevitable stuck head lights. hope it never happens to me.

this should teach you a lesson you start to rice up your car (reverse glow gauges)then your car hates you and makes you go crazy by going all screwy.

But seriously i got no clue either ****ty deal.

Mine do that sometimes. I just tap the switch with my hand a couple of times and that usually does it. It's probably a bad connection somewhere.
