tell me i don't have to take off the intake manifold... i can't get the stupid fuel rail out so i can take out my injectors... why? its all unbolted and sitting there. everytime i try to pull it out it keeps hitting the manifold.

in the event i do get the injectors out.. where can i get replacement rubber spacers/washers that go in the fuel injector holes on the intake?

you dont need to pull it off all the way to change injectors...pull it back til it hits the intake and just pull out the injectors

well ****ing great. so much for that. i was able to muscle the 2, 3 and 4th injectors out but the last one broke. when it broke i saw something fly, i'm assuming it was the o-ring/bushing thingy. As for the plasic shell piece on the tip of the injector with the little needle point looking thing... well i dunno. i guess it's in the intake. i guess i've gotta pull it off now and pray the intake valves were close and the stupid **** didn't fall into the cylinder. i don't even know how i'm gonna get the injectors back in. They were hard enough to pull out as it is. i guess i can take off the top part of the intake and put the injectors back in then the intake backtogether. i even looked in the FSM and it said nothing about taking the intake apart. Just the intake stays, fuel rail bolt and the fuel lines near fuel filter. so can anyone sell me a stock injector? or even a whole set. i don't really care.

holy crap how'd you manage to break the injector?

at this point I would say don't even attempt it any further w/o removing the intake ...

if in fact there is a little piece of plastic in the intake.. does anyone know if there's a possibility it'll just get sucked through and burned up without damaging anything? or should i just take off the intake and look for it?

There's a chance it'll burn up. There's also a chance it'll jam a valve open and screw your engine, or something equally catastrophic. Its definitely worth your time to take the intake off. I'd take the intake off if I was just tapping a hole into it, and all that creates is a few metal filings.

Did you loosen the 14mm nut on #4 side of the injector rail? Did you remove the idle control section (x3...10mm bolts)? It's not that hard to do unless you forgot to remove something.

removed it all. the rail kept hitting the nub thing that juts out and that one of the intake stays bolts to.
