stuck drivers side power seat

I have a 2001 QX4. DRIVER side seat is usually stuck. if I push real hard on it when engaging the switch I can get it moving again.

anyone else have this problem? Im thinking about taking the seat apart and seeing if the mechanism is getting stuck somehow when the seat is in the all the way back position.

the seat goes back all the way everytime you turn off the ignition

There is a small metal washer that might be bent, check if that's the case.

I had the same problem and i was able to fix it by replacing the above mentioned washers.

if you don't want the seat to go back all the way there is an auto seat function that you can turn off. well in my truck its located next to the mirror and dimmer switch. mine used to do this it seems like there is a tiny groove in the farthest back position that seat gets stuck in.

Apparently there's a TSB for this problem as well (it's for 01-04 Pathfinders, but I'm sure it still applies to your vehicle)...
