Got snagged on another problem...Well i took off my turbo today and when i started to take off my turbo elbow (Its always that stubborn a** last bolt!) and discovered who ever had the turbo put in a socket bolt instead of using a turbo stud and its stuck.

Long story short after an attemping to torch and remove method it didnt work too well I took it to the machine shop said they were going
to cut the head off the bolt then tap it out. I want to get some opinions b4 i do so
cuz i know this is very touchy and its an hks turbo! I need some experienced opinions
here please.

You got a couple options here.

A. Try a bolt moval tool that grips from the outside of the bolt. Only issue may be space and that your using a Alan bolt. They are made mostly for standard hex bolts but it may work.

B. Freeze and bust or cut the bolt head off. Then try an easy out after soaking the remaining bolt in the turbo in PB blaster. Soak it very well several times and let it sit for about any hour. Then try an easy out. You drill the center of the broken bolt and use a reversed thread bit to try to back it out. It will probably either break or just strip out the hole you drill in it but its worth a try.

C. Freeze and break or cut the bolt head off and drill the hole out and retap and put a helicoil in.

Dam...lol, thanks, i already tried A.
What about welding a nut at the end of the head and taking it off?

You could do that. Make sure its welded pretty good. Ive done it before and broke it on the other side of the weld cause it weakens the metal some.

A bolt broke inside my turbo, it took forever to get out but we were able to do it without damaging any threads.

Just be patient with it, one of the best things to do is drill out the center of the bolt all the way, spray pb blaster in their and let it soak for hours and keep spraying every hour for awhile.

Then try to remove it with an easy out style device.

You'll want to run a tap through the hole once its all out just to clean up the threads a bit.

Try a left handed drillbit. You could hammer a turbo socket around the head of the allen, if you do that i'd heat the bolt with a torch. Welding a nut to the head will also probably work.

Yeag Im goin to try welding a nut to the head first then if that doesnt work then i can still resort to planB. I prolly feel better
doing it my self....but not if i fxxx it up . Ill look into the turbo socket too.

Yeah weld it. If that doesn't work, instead of drilling the bolt out. Drill threw the head of the bolt horizontally and put an allen wrench in it or screw driver in the hole then pry.

I had the same problem on my oil filter adapter housing. If you want to do it yourself, i'd 2nd what many others said - left-handed drill bit down the middle, then pb blaster and ez-out, and patience. Good forum here. PS - don't forget to oil the drill bit or else it will be dull in 10 secs.

UPDATE: Good news as removed the stud.I sliced the allen head, removed the turbo elbow then sprayed a lil wd40 into the stud then heated the area with a torch then took vise grips and walah it came off no prob, took 10-15 min.
