I still Have Error Code P0301 on My 1999 Infiniti G20.

SR20DE Has 155,000 Miles on it.

What is happening is that I will get a P0301 after running a while. The car runs fine except from time to time at freeway speed, approx 65MPH and between 1.5K and 2K, The car starts stalling, as if it was running out of gas.

I can slowly give the pedal more push and nothing happens. The only cure is Pressing gas all the way to the floor, where downshifting happens and the car runs with no problem. Same happens if I press the Out of overdrive button.

So Far I have replaced the following:

Fuel Filter,
2 Oxygen Sensors
Fuel Pump
Plug Wires
Cap & Rotor
4 Fuel injectors
Spark Plugs
PVC
MAF

Cleaned PVC Hose
Cleaned Throttle Body
Checked all Vac hoses
Added Fuel Injector cleaner.

Please help!!!
Steve

:welcome: to NICO Steve!

You've done a lot! I wish I had something more for you - but I really don't... My first guess would have been fuel pressure - but you replaced the pump and filter. I checked the FSM (factory service manaul) and it has a whole series of steps to check. One of them is the EGR system... since your issue is at cruise maybe that's it?

Check out the FSM at http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/

The section on this code starts at EC-244. I couldn't get the document to load "in line" so I had to right click it and save the file to my computer.

Good luck!

I think you have a egr problem sounds like egr passages are blocked and all egr is going into cylinder 1 causing issue there are plugs in the intake that you can take out and clean out to correct this on Nissan so I believe you can on yours also!! They are usually Allen head plugs 4 are 3/8 I think and the other 1 is bigger hope it helps!!

Thanks for the replies, I just tested the TPS and found a number of dead spots, so now i do not get the rough stutter, but I now have to adjust so the transmission shift correctly. I cleaned the egr valve itself and I did see a post to remove those alan screws and clean, but I will see if the tps clears it up or not. Otherwise I will be taking off the upper intake again and clean those ports.
