I have a 1990 Nissan 240sx, just today, i replaced rotors and brake pads on the rear. and was told to wind the caliper piston clockwise to get them to open. well i cranked it for a good half hour on the right side, and it just would not go in far enough, so i have one side with a brand new rotor, and brand new pads, and it got to late to piss and moan about it so i put the old rotor and pads back on and drove it down the road........Can some one please tell me the trick, or if they know whats wropng please enlighten me.... Thankyou

Remove your brake fluid revisoir cap. Take a pair of needle nose pliers and push the caliper in while you turn it. If that doesnt work, take a large pair of pliers and try squeezing it in, but be careful so you dont scratch the piston.

It's a good rule not to push old fluid into the master because all trash in the lines goes into cyl.and cause premature failure. Open the bleeder at the caliper and apply inward pressure on piston while rotating the piston in a clockwise direction. This should do the trick. If the boot twists up pull it back and spray a lite amount of silicone spray in boot to lube it.
