Yes, dampers have a huge effect on the stiffness of the car, especially a high compression shock like the AGX. You should invest in some, they're worth the price.

yeah i agree. springs can give you a stiffer ride too, but dampers are extremely effective. you need every ounce of stiffness you can get in a convertible too.

i think i will do that, i was gonna do coilovers, but that is a buttload more money and i dont think i need that degree of damping. i might use the money i'd save on like an aftermarket pulley or soemthin, i really dont know.

Some interesting info for you. Turns out our part number for the springs in the rear is the same as the one for the hatch. So an aftermarket spring should fit the car. I haven't tried it out yet as I'm a bit strapped for cash, but the numbers should work. Get a set of springs rated at least 2.5-3.0 kg/mm for your rear springs, and you should be ok.

Also, the AGX's work just fine on the verts. I've been running mine since October and have had no problems. Just set the rebound rate to 3 or so, and that should take care of any stiffness problem due to the extra weight.

theres a good chance u might be my hero. after calling my nissan dealer, tein, h&r, eibach, and suspension techniques and getting no answer, hearin that is awesome. so what ur sayin that any springs for the hatch should work fine on the convertible, with no worry of too much drop or springs goin bad, right?? thanks.
