Okay, I am about sick of this crap. I just put on some new KYB GR-2 gas struts with some Ksport lowering springs. After the installation I checked the ride height to make sure everything was okay, and it was. Now I notice that the left rear is an inch higher then what it should be, everywhere else is perfect. What the hell could be the problem?!

Were the springs new in the box? Are they the same exact springs (spring rate). Were they put into the "spring cup" the same as the old came out?Is there more weight on one side of your trunk? (speaker box?) Are the struts adjustable?

If they are, make sure that they are adjusted to the same rate of rebound. If the left is stiffer that the right, then you could have broken in the right side more than the left. When I first put the suspension on the Maxima, I set it to the softest setting, to work the springs as much as possible, to break them in. After that, I adjusted them to the stiffest settings.

My next guess would be that possibly the steel used in one of the springs was not tempered correctly, giving it a different spring rate. Basically a defect. Other than that I am not sure. You may call and see if they are under warrenty. Also if the place that you bought them from is willing to give you a refund, maybe look into Eibach Springs.
