They told me at the dealership that i can get shock absorbers for the front only! Is this true? If so, does nebody recommend a good spot possibly online to order the shock absorbers from cuz im really not trying to kick out the 400 a peice for some struts from the dealership.Thx in advance

Hi and welcome to Nico!

Get familiar with the SEARCH button. It will be a great help. I have the ACTIVE suspension on my car so I haven't paid special attention to standard suspension parts, but I have heard may members talk about Tokico blues for replacement. I think they perform better and are much cheaper. I'm sure other members will chime in and give their recommendations.

One of the popular places to buy parts is: http://www.infinitipartsusa.com/They are a sponser here and have the lowest prices. You can ask for Joe. He may also have the Tokico blues.

Here are links from his site:

Here are some other links I found using the SEARCH :zerothread?id=207500

I replaced mine with Tokico blues. Bought it from Joe at Infinitipartsusa. Boots are included but mounts are extra. Replaced worn out rubbers.

Good luck!

I just replaced mine with Tokico Blues and they where able to use the old mounts. I just gave them the struts and they put them on. unless your old mounts are damaged they should work fine.

The rubber in the old mounts CHANGES from heat and ozone so new dust boots with integrated bump stops AND upper seats are the method to return performance to brand new quality.

Unfortunately rides like new require lots of new parts.

And if they are not less than a couple of years old, I guarantee they are.

The rubber upper shock covers incorporate the bump stops.

Look for other degraded rubber to replace while you are there - tension rods bushings, upper links, sway bar and steering rack mounts, rear bar end link rubber isolators, brake lines, etc.

I got all four tokico shocks on ebay for $245 with free shipping. Works great, but all the other rubber in my suspension is shot so the sqeaking didn't completely stop.

Another reason it's great to get these through "Joe", as his pricing is more competitive when you add replacing all the rubber. Hardly worth it to go back in just to replace the rubber ... the labor starts to eat up any original savings.
