I'm considering getting strut tower braces for my 1999 I30, and I have a few questions:

1) do the braces provide marked improvement in handling?2) are all strut braces the same, or should I be looking at particular companies/brands?3) what is a good brand to buy from?4) are rear strut tower braces as beneficial as front braces?5) will I have to make body modifications to install front and/or rear strut tower braces for my 99 I30? (e.g., is there enough clearance under the hood for the front brace without making modifications?)6) what company offers front and rear braces for the 99 I30?

Thanks in advance for your input! =)

1) Generally yes.2)Some are better than others but the largest diffrence seem to be price and looks. The pricier ones look better when the hood is open.3)Stillen is a good place to buy Nissan/Infinit accessories.4)the great bang for teh buck is in the front usually, but some really enjoy the extra effect of a rear strut brace.5)No for the front, for the rear I dont know.6)Stillen offers fronts ,probably rears too, NISMO parts are coing out soon, one of our members (JaysonReliford) has a hook-up there too.

Fred...:)

The front brace will decrease the amount of camber change that happens during turn-in by keeping the strut towers from flexing. I noticed somewhat of an improvement with mine.

A "cheap-o" bar seems to work just a good as the more expensive ones. If money is tight, get a $30 one off ebay and you should be good to go.

Finally, if you auto-X, you may want to get a rear bar, but don't expect many gains since the body is stiffer in that location. I'd suggest getting a RSB instead.

Ditto, the FSTB I got from eBay, was $13.00 Works great. Looks great. Took 15 minutes to install.
