i got nismo motor mounts and my engine is waaaaayyyyyyy up in the bay. i had a tanabe bar (still for sale) for the ka/sr? it fit the ka, anyway. so the question is...which company makes a bar that fits? i'm going to try some spacers to lift the hood up at the hinges, too...has anyone tried this? any help's appreciated. thanks.

so, do you have the nismo mounts too?...mine are for the sr/ka, i think, and even though they are set low it's still to high, yesterday i spaced the hood up about, i think 3/4" and it looks cool...i also checked that site and didn't see any bars, do they deliver to the states

think i do, but also remember, i didn't do any engine transplants.. this is how the car left japan, so it was made for it.

The SR/KA Nismo mounts set the motor too high. You need the CA Nismo mounts.

actually, i could close the hood before, but to fix the intake manifold bumping the hood, i just spaced the back of the hood and it looks kinda trick, no more intake manifold on the hood, simple...

I know a CA owner that just bent the hell out of their regular S13 STB and it clears....

I sold my NISMO KA/SR mounts, bought the correct NISMO CA mounts, and bent my $20 STB for my old KA for $0 and 10min with a hydraulic press.

Gotta do whatcha gotta do....

will bending the stb decrease the ridgitiy(sp? right word?) of the bar? Or most of you dont really feel a difference?

Not unless you heated it up to bend it. I didn't do that. Also, a STB doesn't work on compression, it works on tension.
