i was wanting to know if you have to put the car on a lift to install a front upper strut tower bar. i think i read somewhere that you need to lift it so that the stress is taken off the strut towers. is this true, cause some guy at a shop here said you just stick it right on there with the car on the ground?

by the way i was going to get the DC Sports strut tower bar from them installed for $132.

I believe that you SHOULD NOT lift it. If you do, the struts are gonna fall out the bottom when you loosen the bolts on top . I put mine on in the parking lot and it does fine. I believe I have read somewhere that you should not lift it too.

thanks. but those are for strut bars with an adjustable preload. i dont think the DC Sports bars are adjustable. i'll try to get it without raising it to see if i feel a difference.
