How many of you changed your strut mounts when changing your strut setup (Not talking to coilover guys because I know new mounts came with yours). I've been told that I should change them just because I'm changing my struts. I have 82k miles and no noticeable issues.

In a previous life I had swapped springs on a FWD macpherson strut setup (This means the upper mounts pivot with the strut). I didn't replace the upper mounts and regretted that move because they began making funny noises shortly after.

They're relatively cheap right? I would say replace them just to be safe and while you're at it replace the top retaining bolt as well. These nuts have nylon locking washer built-in.

Definitely replace them while you're in there.
