You could go w/ Tein lowering springs and Koni struts. For the ride and the money it's a good deal.

hey i dont mean to thread jack... but can you offer advice as to where i could find the tein/koni combo at a shop where they would order/install? or would it be easier to order them off line and install them myself? i'm trying to get a price on the tein/koni combo to see if they're cheaper to go that route vs. the coilovers, because the 240 is my daily driver so i'm not sure if i really need the coilovers.

Installing them yourself, its really easy. If you go with springs and struts, I went with agx ajustables with eibach sportlines. I would reccomend checking our sponsors out on this site, but you could also hit up the for sale section or wtb section and find a decent set for sale with low milage. I got mine locally for only 160bucks with about 1000 miles on them. They ride great with just the right drop. I can also ajust the firmness of the ride with 4ways in the front and 8ways in the back. Check out my sig, this gives you a idea of the differece. The install only took about 40mins to complete since the one I bought were already assembled with mounts and all.

Ill second that. Like I said I only paid 160 for everything, which as everyone knows is a amazing deal for agxs and sportlines. If 600 is what you really have im sure you can find better if you look. I would save the few hundred more if I were you. Since I have a ton of bills, and the 240 just being a summer car/project, 160 bucks fit my budget. Going ka-t left me hella broke.

ok so i went home and thought about it more and figured that i really dont need adjustable shocks since its just my daily. so i came up with a new total of $411 for the strut/springs, but thanks for all the input.

Stay with AGXs, Konis would be out of the budget and would require some work. Check out my DIY article for that!
