I have a 95 240 and I've noticed that the front right wheel moves back and forth a little when you brake. Also when if you're going up a driveway which is a little higher than the road, you can hear a clunking sound when that same tire touches the driveway. It seems like the strut rod is messed up or can it just be the bushings? I'm not sure if I'm calling this the right part also (strut rod)......

I think what you are talking about is the tension rod. you can get some pretty good adjustable ones on ebay for under $120 on ebay... (tein or something)

I have the tein tension rods for my S13 and they improved braking confidence quite a bit when I installed them. not near as much front end dive.

If you dont want to spend the cash you could go to a junk yard or get em new from nissan or even just take the bad bushing out and replace it with a urethane one.

gl with it.

I replaced my old tension rod bushings with some nicer Whiteline bushings. Easy, cheap, effective.

Hi. I recently changed my tie/tension rods with SPL ones. It is not the tension rods. I'll try to post a pic tonight of it to clarify, but it is a horizontal bar when facing the side of the vehicle, connecting one of the control arms in the front. You can see it when you turn the wheel outside.
