I'm about to replace the struts on my 01 PF. What else will likely need replaced at the same time? I need to order the parts so that I have them on hand. I know the strut bearing but what else? http://www.4x4parts.com has an assembly with the bearing but I can't tell what else it comes with. Here's a pic of it... However, I've heard that this one is crap and to go with OEM. Here's the OEM parts diagram. Can you guys look at the diagram and tell me what parts I should buy? Just list the parts numbers on the diagram because Nissan has some funky names for some of these parts? Thanks...

Maybe this will show larger. Can anyone identify what parts in the picture I should buy?

Strut tower mounts, check the tie rods make sure they are still good, are you going with new coils?, if so then do all of the install at once, if you are going with new coils & you choose to go with lifted coils think about manual hubs, also if you are going with new struts you might as well think about new shocks in the rear & if you are think of doing all of that go a head & replacing your bushings in you lower control arms front & rear. This will probably give a good overhaul of you suspension.

Oh & before you ask, go with KYB GR-2 struts up front & a nice pair of Billstien shocks in the rear.

Good?

In the picture above what number is the strut tower mount. Nissan has some funky names when you go to order parts. I've also heard the strut bearing probably should be replaced. What can I check on the tie rods? And my coils are still good. Are the bushings hard to replace in the lower control arms? I am doing the rear shocks also by the way. Thanks...

I just went into the dealership & used my at-the-time hook-up & got my strut towers that way so I couldn't tell ya the part number or anything off hand. With the tie rods just make sure where they connect isn't desentigrated or falling apart or loose. The bushings tend to be a motherf*cker. To make it easy many people just buy new lower control arms. I didn't, I bought poly bushings, cause they will out last my R50 & I'll never have to worry about that again. If you can find a mom & pop shop to do the installation of the bushings & can do it cheap thats the way to go if you don't know what you are doing & can't do it yourself.
